Home Depot Smart House – Durham, NC
System WorCx was hired as a third-party commissioning firm contracted directly to the University. Commissioning includes HVAC and controls, normal and emergency electrical power, plumbing, and lighting. Michael Mantai was the commissioning authority performing all commissioning activities (design reviews, Cx plan, field testing, troubleshooting, etc.).
Duke Smith Warehouse – Durham, NC
This project includes a 140,000 square foot renovation to an existing historic building. System WorCx is providing LEED® consulting, energy modeling, and building commissioning services for all mechanical and electrical systems. This building will be a LEED® Core and Shell project.
WPC Engineering Inc. Office – North Charleston, SC
System WorCx is providing third-party commissioning oversight of the Owner’s commissioning effort for this LEED® project. The project includes ground source heat pumps..
Innovista Research Campus – Columbia, SC
This first part of the campus consists of three research buildings with wet labs, dry labs, vivarium, classrooms, offices, and two parking decks, totaling more than 1 million square feet and $120 million. The research buildings include a Biomedical Research Building, Energy/Chemistry Research Building, and Public Health Research/Office Building. The projects will be LEED® certified. System WorCx is providing commissioning, energy modeling, IAQ testing, and Measurement & Verification Plans.
CDA Architects Office – Columbia, SC
System WorCx is providing third-party commissioning oversight of the Engineer’s commissioning effort for this LEED® project.
Duke University Belltower Hall – Durham, NC
This is a LEED® Certified Level project that involved a new four-story dormitory. Included were ground floor mechanical rooms and attic mechanical rooms. The building was comprised of dorm rooms, apartments, meeting rooms, lounges, a kitchen and offices. It featured a wireless network system.
Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Lifecare Center – Wilmington, NC
System WorCx was hired as a third-party commissioning firm during the design phase. Commissioning included LEED® Fundamental and Enhanced Commissioning.
Fuqua Phase 2E Addition and Law Commons/Library – Durham, NC
These are two LEED® Certified projects that involve six-story additions to the Duke University Business School and Law School. The buildings are comprised of high-tech classrooms and offices, libraries, and commons spaces. They feature meeting and lecture rooms with integrated audio/visual systems, and complex architectural features.
